Can’t compete with Yamaha and Suzuki. I haven’t seen an Evinrude motor in years.
Yep, Yamaha has come to dominate this market, and not without some justification.

PFFT!!! That is utterly ridiculous. The Evinrude ETEC is the most technologically advanced line of outboard engines in existence. The motor scooter brands (and black anchor Mercury, for that matter) can't begin to compete with the ETEC in terms of performance/weight.
The issue here is Bain Capitol sucking all of the cash out of BRP. Hopefully some other corporate interest will come along and make BRP an offer they can't refuse.
