Instant karma?
We call them aqueducts or washes in AZ. :)
Seriously; there are a few good rivers in SoCal. NorCal should have a lot more.
In Natalie’s case addictive tendencies were baked in the cake. Don’t forget her father Nat King Cole died young from lung cancer. He smoked well over a pack a day.
So the same genes that gave Natalie her voice and her desire to entertain also left her vulnerable to substance abuse as a way to manage all that talent.
I think people have long disabused themselves of the fairy tale that "a day in court" is somehow equivalent to "justice".
Vigilante justice is better than no justice.
Just sad. Her voice was that of the angels.
If that is a serious question, in So.Cal., the rivers are dry 10 months out of the year. During the “Rainy Season” when it can pour, the water flooding down from the elevations is overwhelming. Decades ago, after a few disasters, the Army Corps of Engineers built concrete channels out of some of the bigger rivers, to make them flow more directly, to the ocean, without inundating the low lying areas.
If you were being sarcastic, I missed it ;) Thanks.
When I think of a river bottom, I don’t think of a concrete aqueduct that was once an ephemeral arroyo.
Indeed. You can imagine my surprise, when I looked at a map, and saw the landmark for where I was going, was a river. I was pretty freaked out, when I passed over the bridge, looked down, and saw kids skateboarding. Things are different, out here . . .
“Vigilante justice is better than no justice.”
Bingo!
I think of the scene from the Terminator movie.
See? The homeless encampments are actually filled with wonderful heroes and first responders
Indeed. We should encourage more of this. More camps now! ;)
He was a suspect and even if he had committed the act, he deserved his day in court. Now he'll never be convicted and we are left with mob justice. Which should never be condoned.
I wonder how many that support this are on other threads condemning the looters in MN.
Vigilante justice is better than no justice.
They are the same thing.
Precisely.
A small wagon on wheels used to move groceries or garden stuff. I doubt he’d fit in a Radio Flyer.
If they’re the same thing don’t complain about people who administer vigilantly justice.
Vigilante justice = No justice
The victim would probably disagree with you.
