Skateboarders in Los Angeles went to work Monday removing sand from a popular skate park that was ordered filled by local officials last month to deter its use amid a statewide stay-at-home order.
Armed with shovels, buckets and brooms, the skaters at the famed skate park in Venice Beach defied authorities to regain access.
"Taking the Venice Skatepark back today," read an Instagram post by Shacked Mag, a skating magazine. "The city let this skate park get destroyed, graffiti, garbage, broken glass everywhere....... Skaters want their park back. More clips in our Instagram Story."

It’s probably just my warped sense of humor but I find this post very pleasurable. The free people of the USA, be they skate boarders, gun owners, or church goers are done with little dictators. Don’t push to hard. We might get angry, you won’t like us when we’re angry. A movie quote once said “Ride On”. A little different here but good advice. IMO

The State showed they are willing to destroy public facilities to destroy our constitutional rights.
I would like the story better if they Took the sand and transported it to county and city officials' driveways and parking spaces so that the morons had to walk to find a parking spot.
A bucket or two of sand in their mailbox would be pleasant too.
