Been there a few years back while traveling out west on my motorcycle. That was back probably before this guy purchased it. Helluva place that one doesn’t soon forget. Would love to make another trip back there.

Fished through Montana and Wyoming in 2018, including Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. It truly is "the most beautiful place". The lake is bigger than you'd imagine for it's mountain location, and the mountain backdrop is simply stunning.
I'm going back in August.

Why is the woman wearing a mask at the bar? Is she going to booze up thru the mask?

1984 Two buddies and I drove west to do some trout fishing. Our first real stop was Jackson Hole. Dinner at the Million Dollar Bar. Trout stuffed with jumbo lump crabmeat. Really good! But the coffee! Brewed with Rocky Mountain spring water! Unbelievable! Brought 10 lbs of Farmer Bros. coffee along back to Pennsyltucky. Could not duplicate that goodness. It’s got to be the water!

The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar was the very first bar I ever set foot into. It was about 1959, I was 8 years old and we were on our biennial 5,000 mile family car trip across the country to visit all of our relatives. After visiting grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Idaho, Dad would drive south through Jackson on our way to Albuquerque and we would stop and enjoy the town for a little while. I still remember standing in awe of the amazing Antler Arch in the town square (there was only one arch in those days), but most of all I remember seeing all the silver dollars in the bar counter of the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. For a little guy raised on TV and movie westerns who played Cowboys and Indians all the time with friends, this was the greatest thing ever. Silver dollars were real common in the west in those days because of slot machines (a single silver dollar then was real silver and worth about $10 today so you had a lot of money in your pocked).
At the time, the bar and Jackson were still authentic western and focused on the local ranch economy and working cowboys. It wasn't yet all souvenir stores and ice cream shops.
For my 60th birthday in 2011, we took a family trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone Park. We spent a couple of nights in Jackson and our kids (25, 23 and 21 at the time) thought the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar was the greatest place ever.
The inside of the bar has changed a lot over the years. Even in the 1950s, it was billing itself as the "Finest Rustic Bar in the World" (pic below).
Thanks, Dad (RIP) for taking us there!

Jackson is one of my favorite places in the world. The scenery is beyond compare & the skiing is the best in-bounds terrain I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It’s the southern gateway into Grand Teton National Park and, just a bit further to Yellowstone.
Everyone should visit at least once in their life!
