Stand 20 feet from a candle and blow, in 2 or 3 seconds you will see the candle flame flicker. Now try it with a mask and you won’t be able to make the candle flicker from 6 inches away. That’s what the mask accomplishes, it reduces how far you can infect people.
I really wish people wouldn’t politicizing this, it makes our side look really stupid. Just like the Left politicizing HCQ makes them look stupid.

I agree. Anyone with two or more brains cells can figure out that even a crappy dust mask will reduce the viral load coming and going. I wear a mask in retail establishments, and while half the other people there aren't, I don't take it personally. Neither should they.

i can tell you almost all the doctors I know do not wear masks when outside the hospital. That alone speaks volumes
No argument there. I see it on both sides, but I definitely understand why people are casting off the mask. They’ve had enough. However, wearing one doesn’t turn me into a lib. That’s where I think this all goes off the rails.

Otherwise the article is ok. If I got to a crowded area, I wear it as a courtesy to others. Thats all. The way this whole thing has gotten politicized is sad, and stupid. From both sides, yes. Stupid. Dumb.

Totally agree with you! And you’re right about the masks and their purpose. Further, if a private business chooses to enforce a mask policy, we of all people should respect that. Private businesses make the rules for themselves; that’s the ESSENCE of private property rights! Don’t like it? Don’t shop there.
so you stop some droplets with a mask (the ones that don’t go above below or out the sides). You do the same by covering your cough or sneeze. Think about those cloth masks everyone is wearing. unless they are discarded or washed after every use they are breeding grounds of disease living in your pocket or on your dashboard or in your purse. They are almost never worn or fit correctly. They induce the wearer to touch their face more not less. They probably spread more disease than they prevent

No kidding. I’ve been reading about “Karen” for several years myself.
For those unaware: A “Karen” is a usually middle aged extremely entitled woman with a bob or similar “I want to talk to your manager” hairstyle and attitude.
Her main claim to fame is how incredibly arrogant and selfish she is, in addition to treating most staff at whatever establishment she is patronizing (BOTH meanings simultaneously) at the time.
Look up “I don’t work here lady” on youtube for some examples.
