The Trump administration is willing to pay for U.S. companies to uproot their supply chains and bring them home from China, according to the president's top economic adviser.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused supply chain disruptions and elevated concerns the U.S. has become too reliant on production in Asia, and specifically China, for goods and key technologies.
China is the world's largest producer of personal protective equipment, including masks, test kits and more that is needed to control the spread of COVID-19, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and has infected more than 5.5 million people worldwide.

Simply say that if you wish to market in the US, 60% of your manufacturing/production must occur in the US. The other 40% can happen wherever you want, including China.

I moved to a condo last August. I needed a deep freeze because my fridge is small, hence a very small fridge freezer. Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy...all out of Freezers. I found a small local appliance store that had freezers...at least according to their web page. I order it on Sunday. Today I get a call from the store that they have none in stock and will not until September. But, I can order a GE that will be available in June. the reason is that all compressors for all freezers are made in China. I can get the GE because ... China owns GE!
They wont get away with that shit with this President.He would blister their asses in the media and they would cower like the little bitches they are.
