No, I’ve no more love for the FBI than you do. They have an agenda, and it’s not a good one.

The investigation into any killing should be by some organization or entity that is *NOT* a law enforcement unit, at all.

But just because the FBI has been acting as a deep state agent doesn’t mean I trust the same cops who killed someone to investigate the killing; gee, do you or I get to audit our own taxes? Or I audit yours knowing you will audit mine?

Cops almost NEVER find any wrongdoing by other cops, just like doctors.

I trust cops investigating a police killing exactly as much as I trust Democrats investigating Hillary’s emails.

“Cops almost NEVER find any wrongdoing by other cops, just like doctors.”

“Bury the mistakes”, as the old saying goes.

While difficult, it can be done. Vince Foster shot himself one or more times and headed down to Fort Marcy Park on his own. The example has been set.

If he couldn’t breathe, he wouldn’t be able to talk. I’ll wait for the autopsy report.

Cops are a hell of a lot more likely to be your ‘friend’ than some lowlife criminal... And as far as ‘out of control’ goes - - that’s almost the definition of ‘criminal’.

That said, the job of the police is to ‘bring the person’ to a place where justice can be done. It’s NOT their job to decide who lives and who dies.

I don’t understand modern police training. While it is intended for “officer safety” and while they have to deal with a lot of scum and danger, I feel like much of it has gone WAY over the top.

Why do police always point their loaded firearms at suspects today? I watch a lot of Live PD, and when they are holding suspects at bay to handcuff them, they have their side arms drawn and AIMED AT THE SUSPECTS. I was trained that you never aim a gun at anything you don’t plan to shoot shortly. I was trained to be “off target off trigger” unless I was in the process of shooting. I don’t understand this new training being given to aim a loaded firearm at a suspect being held at bay, sometimes for 10 minutes or more while waiting for back up. They have their fingers off the trigger, but I am sorry, there is no reason they cant have their weapon at low ready at the same time. It takes no time to raise a gun to eye level from low ready. None.

The massive over-reaction to stolen vehicles is comical. They treat every stolen vehicle stop as if there are armed and dangerous perps behind the wheel, then drag an 80 year old grandma out of the car and slap handcuffs on her because some dirtbag stole a car and then swapped license plates with her to avoid detection. You would think cops would have SOME discretion here. I guess that would be “profiling” if they treated that 19 year old gangbanger in the red blood outfit with gang tattoos all over his face differently than the way they treat the 80 year old grandmother.

Don’t even get me started with the drug war and using the slightest pretext to search every car. “I pulled you over for a windshield chip. Do you have any weapons? Can I search your car? Get out of the car while my K-9 goes over your Prius, Father Mark.”

I sympathize with police, but they are way to militarized, aggressive, and zero tolerance today.

Do you have to be a sadist to become a policeman or do they teach you that at the academy?...asking for a friend.

Tell your friend that fully HALF the people Dr. Clarissa Cole tested and who FAILED the required psyche eval to be a cop got hired anyway.

Ah, I didn’t realize that resisting arrest was a capital crime and police were appointed as the judge, jury and executioners.

We will see. More officers are being prosecuted since the Freddie Gray shooting in Maryland. That was a good shoot, but the effect of it was to bring to light how the thin blue line cirles the wagons over bad cops.

A Somali born US cop shot and killed a white woman in Minnesota who had called 9-1-1 and had walked up to his police cruiser to talk to the officers. The Somali born cop was the passenger and shot right past the officer in the drivers seat. He was convicted of muder and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A female Texas cop shot and killed a black man when she accidentally walked into his apartment, thinking she was in hers and he had broken into her apartment. She was convicted of murder and sentence to 10 years.

So justice is being served on negligent police and those committing crimes. I am not going to say it is widespread but at least it is happening today. For most of my 60 year lifespan, cops got away with murder. At least today they are being convicted for their crimes from time to time.

It could happen in this case, which is a clear case of manslaughter to me. The cop was clearly negligent.

IMO this was murder pure and simple. The man was wanted under suspicion of forgery, and not FWIW for a violent crime and he was unarmed. It’s been said that the man resisted arrest but there is no video or evidence to prove that he did resist or how much he actually resisted.

But once the suspect was pinned down it would have been easy to cuff him and for the cop to stop putting his knee on the man’s neck.

But the cop as seen in the video seemed to be enjoying keeping his knee on the man’s neck for nearly 7 minutes and long after the man was even able to resist as he was long before 7 minutes passed, unconscious and no longer able to resist.

If that isn’t murder, I don’t know what is. Thanks for posting that video.

You know there is *no* police killing, no matter how egregious and sadistic, that someone on FR won’t condone or at least explain if the victim is black. The only way a killing under authority of the State can be at all bad to some people here is if the victim is a verified Conservative; anyone of color or who doesn’t grovel and submit to *ANY* cop deserves killing! /sarc

While the cop deserve jail time, I don’t see this as murder. I think it qualifies as manslaughter, particularly involuntariy manslaughter. Murder involves an intent to kill someone, either with premeditation or rashly on the spur of the moment, or being instrumentally involved with someone else doing so.

Killing someone out of careless negligence is almost always manslaughter, but I share your outrage at what the cop did. He needs prison time and to lose his job forever as a felon.

75 FBI thugs went to Ferguson to defend the Brown criminal... against an innocent man... The last thing we need is a repeat of that fiasco...

Then again maybe they’ll send sluts like Lisa Page and it’ll all be tacky and funny.

That said, cops are NOT allowed to hand on death sentences on the streets of any city.

Crime’s a dangerous occupation... sometimes lowlifes take their chances and they lost. Sometimes cops break the law - and they lose.

SO all these cops had “DEPRAVED Hearts”?

IF the man complied with their direction he would be alive today! This man chose to put his safety and life in jeopardy by RESISTING ARREST. HE was the PRIMARY contributing factor in his own demise. ALL the legal mumbo jumbo in the world doesn’t change that fact.

I’d have to say that 5 minutes of knee on the neck is enough to kill

I noticed that that cop kept telling the completely immobilized man to get up, all the while he had the guy pinned to the ground with knee on neck. I suspect the cop's defense is going to be resisting arrest and failure to obey the commands of a police officer.

That was brutal........I was almost yelling get off him.

“SO all these cops had “DEPRAVED Hearts”?”

You asked how they could be charged with murder. I just answered your question. Though I’d bet the charge would be something more like negligent manslaughter or involuntary manslaughter.
That’s if there were to be charges at all. Minnesota LEOs only extremely rarely are held to account for outcomes such as this.

Just calm down,

And the cop repeatedly telling the guy to get up. Which is kind of hard to do when you're immobilized on the ground with a 200 lb. + man kneeling on your neck..........
