Please watch the video again, Arbery tried to flee his attacker by jogging around the truck on the opposite side of Travis, Travis sees this and moves to the front of the truck to meet Arbery, Travis discharges shot gun at Arbery at this point, this is shot number 1

Shot number 2 is off camera

Shot number 3 is when arbery tries to take control of the shot gun and dies

Arbery had every right to defend himself against his assailant

That is why the 2 men are in jail right now and a 3rd one a few days ago.

Ignore the leftist garbage and look at all the facts, the video, the police report.

McMicheals make a statement that Travis only shot Arbery twice, but the video and the coroner state Arbery was shot three times. Why did McMichaels lie about that? He lied to the cops

I’m not upset, and there are no facts as the case hasn’t been tried yet.

To be honest, I don’t really care about the case at all. All the usual race pimps are involved, so /shrug.

One could learn a valuable lesson from all of this, Mind your own business, don’t get involved, otherwise you could find yourself at the center of a sh*tstorm from Hell.

“Mind your own business, don’t get involved, otherwise you could find yourself at the center of a sh*tstorm from Hell.”

Try, “Call the police if you see a crime, they get paid the big bucks to handle these things” or, in this case, “If there’s no crime being committed, pop open a cold one and watch some TV”.

Nope, I’m sticking with mine. You can go with yours if you want.

Unless the crime is happening to me or someone I love, I’m not going to get involved.

You know what happens to witnesses of crime in New Orleans? They don’t make it to court fairly often.

“Unless the crime is happening to me or someone I love, I’m not going to get involved.”

The irony here being these guys imagined a crime where there was none and ended up being the party that actually did commit an actual crime.

“You know what happens to witnesses of crime in New Orleans? They don’t make it to court fairly often.”

Never go against the family, I say.

I don’t know if that is the case. That will need to be established in court.

As far as going against the family, that’s not who does things in NO, although they are there. The ones who do things in NO are drug gangs etc, with the worst being the ones who sell the “heron”. At least that’s how it was when I was there.

McMichaels did not "lie to the cops". He did not correctly remember the details of the incident. This happens all the time, even to Police officers in their after-action reports Eyewitness and participant statements are surprisingly unreliable.

It is a major reason that defense lawyers tell their clients to shut up immediately and assert right to silence when the cops arrive. It is a major reason that cautious Police departments use body cameras.

Ignore the leftist garbage and look at all the facts, the video, the police report.

I have looked at the police report. It is very incomplete, as of course it would be, since the officers had not yet seen the video and were relying on participant statements at the time the report was written.

I have also looked at the video frame-by-frame. Arbery has already closed with McMichael Jr. at Shot 1. Shot 2 is out of view. In shot 3, Arbery is still attempting to get the shotgun, but turns away and runs a few steps before collapsing.

Looks like a sustained, deliberate (and suicidal) attack to me, by someone on an adrenaline rush who does not perceive the severity of his injuries.

But you ignored the fact that they (the three men) tried to trap Arbery twice before that in a “citizen’s arrest”

You also fail to recognize that we have no idea what happened in front of the truck

And that the McMichaels have every reason to lie and only say 2 shots were fired AFTER Arbery attacked the gunman.

But they just happened to forget the first shot that was fired, how convenient of them.

McMichaels also explained why the body was moved, they were looking for a gun, that Arbery didn’t have on him. Was it Travis’s gun that he left in his truck that got stolen some weeks ago?

McMichaels believed Arvery was armed and dangerous, why pursue an armed and dangerous man? Leave that to the real cops.

McMichaels have a lot to explain here, they did everything wrong and the end result is a dead man they tried to “arrest”. That is why Arbery was the one who had the right to self defense, because at that moment in time, Arbery did nothing wrong. (what he did years ago, or heck even a few days ago don’t matter in this case)

You lose the right to self defense during a commission of a crime, Travis and Gregory committed the crime of Aggravated Assault, which is a felony in the state of Georgia.

No, I was born in Pensacola, but moved to NO at the age of two, stayed until 19, came back at 24, lived there until Hurricane Katrina, when I went back to Florida.

Between 24-36, I lived in the hood. The part I lived in was mixed, but one two block over in any direction, you weren’t in Kansas anymore. Very bad area, I witnessed a murder that occurred in a house right around the corner from mine.

Fortunately, my friend and I got the wrong license number of the getaway vehicle, otherwise we might have been called as witnesses, which is not what you want to have happen, but I didn’t know this at the time.

This was an execution of a 17 year old neighbor over drugs. He knew who shot him, and did not disclose their identity during the three days that he remained alive afterward.

That is a crazy town right there, I would recommend avoiding it.

That is the first thing you said on this thread, which which I completely agree. A citizen's arrest is something no reasonable citizen should attempt. Too much can go wrong and there is no upside potential. As we are seeing here.

Of course, the Police aren't going to do anything to protect ordinary citizens from burglars - especially when the criminals are members of protected racial or ethnic groups It is so much easier just to write traffic tickets, and issue citations to law-abiding citizens for code infractions. That is why you end up with neighborhood vigilante groups.

And for a viligante group, "Shoot, shovel, and shut up" is by far the better policy. Also "Snitches get stitches, and end up in ditches".

That is where we are heading.

Oh, yeah, it can be dangerous to a person’s health. I grew up in what the PC crowd might call “diverse neighborhoods”. Everybody got along pretty well because they were working poor-middle class.
But I wouldn’t want live in or near a “hood” fer dam sure, because of the out of control crime. Wouldn’t care to live in many trailer parks for the same reason.
Did you ever hear a NO resident say “Nawlins” or was it just idiots who thought they sounded like a local?

You mostly see N’awlins written rather than spoken. I pronounce it New Orlins, and I’d say most people there say it that way.

Now if you’ve got a genuine Y’at, which is short for Where ya at, dawlin’, you might get a genuine N’awlins spoken. Other people that may pronounce it that way would have a Chalmette or a 9th Ward accent. People who grew up and were educated in these areas have a very unusual sounding accent, with Chalmette being the Y’at accent, and the 9th Ward is the tougher accent you might hear NO police speak with.

Just for fun, here is a great example of New Orleans speak in the form of a song, “12 Yats of Christmas” as performed by Benny Grunch And The Bunch.

If you can make it to the end, then you are a true New Orleanian, even if ya wudn’t never born’ere.

To: Trump.Deplorable; HANG THE EXPENSE

When someone is attacking you, it is normal to keep shooting until they stop.

Or you could ask them nicely to Please cease and desist.
Not sure how that would work out.

The problem is that when you do that when committing the crime of aggravated assault (a felony), it is called murder.

I watched the video.

Aubrey could have stopped and asked why the heck a gun was pointed at him. Instead, Aubrey charged; he ran toward the man holding the gun and tried to take it away from him.

At that point the other man was in self defense mode.

The men attempted to stop Arbery twice before the video two trucks one in front on in back of Arbery.

Arbery did not run straight towards the gunman, instead he veered off the to right of the truck away from the gun man standing in the middle of the road. The gunman moves to the front of the truck to confront Arbery with shot gun at hand (this is aggravated assault, a felony in Georgia) Gunman fires first shot at Arbery.

Arbery was entitled to self defense, not the gunman, the gunman committed felony Aggravated Assault, you can’t commit a crime then claim self defense because your victim decided to defend himself. That is not how this works.

When you are committing aggravated assault but want the charge of felony murder as well, you keep shooting until your victim dies defending himself.
