I saw the video on Twitter and it sickened me to no end. I wish we could find out if the poor victim is doing ok and if he has any family. I can’t stop thinking about him.
I just saw another disturbing video on twitter of old folks getting abused. It’s disgusting and I believe rampant. Videos are sure popping up.
This has to be stopped. It’s heartbreaking.
Last year the hospital that treated my mom wanted to send her to a nursing home for physical therapy. I refused to let her go. They tried hard to manipulate me in various ways to have her sent there. I wouldn’t budge. Yes, she needed PT as she was very weak at the time, But, I took her home instead and had PT arranged at her home. I couldn’t bare the thought of neglect or worse.
Which is why I'm looking around for another place to retire and spend my golden years. No way will I spend them where I live now. It's too ... um ... diverse.
All such videos I've seen are diverse nursing home staff abusing non-diverse residents. I don't plan to be a victim.
