The former high school football player with the lightning speed often jogged for miles near the southeastern Georgia enclave where he grew up.
Ahmaud Arbery's runs set him free from the blue-collar coastal city of Brunswick, where 56% of its 16,000 residents are black and more than a third of the population lives in poverty.
In high school, Arbery was so fast coaches had him slow down during practices. Now 25, his athletic gait delivered him beyond the arbitrary borders of his community. Wanda Cooper, Arbery's mother, may have occasionally worried about him but never about his running.
On February 23, the young black jogger was passing through the predominantly white Satilla Shores section on the other side of four-lane US Route 17. Just miles from where Arbery lived with his mother, the quiet waterfront neighborhood is speckled with ranch houses tucked between oak-shaded lawns and backyard boat slips.
His final run ended there.
Arbery stopped in front of a still-unfinished home. He went inside briefly before resuming his run. A former police officer and his son -- both residents on the street -- had become preoccupied with young men caught on security cameras trespassing on the site. Some of the video was posted on the neighborhood's Facebook page.
Armed with a shotgun and a handgun, father and son later followed Arbery in their truck. One of them shot him to death during a confrontation. Arbery's family called it a modern-day lynching.

I’m only anxious because the alleged murders will never get a fair trial. I concerned too that the GA Bureau of Investigation may want to arrest some residents of the area too since they may have been at home when this happened. After all, the guy with the camera is facing murder charges now too. Maybe the GBI is trying to emulate the FBI?
I need to look at the video of him running up to the pickup again.
I’ve been looking for the actual autopsy report to see if the coroner found anything unusual with his feet. Did he have thick calluses or not after jogging w/o socks?
Where did you get that dopey idea from?
I can’t state definitively that he had on construction shoes when he ran at the gunman- all i can do is look at the two photos and make a comparison- sure, lighting can play tricks sometimes concerning color or shade of shoes like that, but it’s not likely to distort the size I don’t believe- if there was only just one photo of what looks like boots- i might be more skeptical and more inclined to think the photo might have been distorted by the angle or something (I do photography, so i watch for these things, light and angle distortions, as i set up shots that use perspective as key element) , but there are a couple of angles in still photos where it looks like the footwear is still larger/higher than what he had on inside the home illegally- in my opinion
The case has become a political show trial to support various Progressive narratives.
You are correct
Show the actual street map used by the now infamous..Jogger... I fully expect the prosecution to open their case showing this map.. it is absolutely critical to demonstrate the time this guy has devoted to his career in running/jogging.
No kidding. With all that is going on in America...this is what people are gripped by? Dont think so.
Whatever they are, they do not look like running shoes. In your blow up they look like low cut boots.
You seem involved with Arbery 24/7... how about showing US the street map taken by this infamous jogger.
At no point have I stated or even speculated as to the distance between Mr. Arburys home and where he was shot.
Why not? The infamous jogger inspecting the inside of new construction, shows no signs of physical exertion... sweat, labored breathing, thirst? Maybe somebody dropped him off from the Main Street and fled when the cops turned into the subdivision. There are reasons why the need to explain why the Jogger was out inspecting new construction. He was just out running/jogging... got to paint the picture to change the reality.
yep- like i said, i can’t say for 100% sure, but to me they do not look like what he wore into the home- I note with curiosity that news media will not show arbery going out of the home after he ducked behind the inside wall there- the video shuts off abruptly just as he was about to - Why won’t they show him later than that point? Because it shows more clearly that he had changed shoes? I don’t know, but it’s very suspicious that they won’t show the whole video of him inside the home
“Arbery was not a “jogger”. He was a burglar casing the neighborhood for opportunities. He was confronted by neighbors and attacked one of them who was armed with a shotgun. He was killed in the scuffle as he attempted to wrestle the shotgun out of the hands of his antagonist. The case has become a political show trial to support various Progressive narratives.”
On the nose; simple as that. The first DA was correct.
Nobody cares but those who want this to turn it into race riots. Most have no idea about the story. It is tragic but putting this career criminal as an all American negro boy who had hopes and dreams only to be cut short but racist society and white rednecks is typical vomit spin.
I see you are back declaring the two men guilty before the trial. The guy was a thug and got what he deserved imo. Go back to DU.
I’ve seen videos from camera setups like that one that are triggered by motion. They only record for a short period. If it was one of those, that be all of the video.
Maybe somebody dropped him off from the Main Street and fled when the cops turned into the subdivision.
Thats possible but there is no evidence that someone dropped him off on the Main Street.
Just read the details about this gripping situation so I can finally become anxious.
Actually, the MSM narrative kinda smells.
