Easy to get tests (they had the first drive thru testing, I believe) and aggressive tracking & tracing.
New Zealand pretty much stopped the virus in it’s tracks mostly by not letting the infected in. They closed down the borders and mandated testing & quarantine of anyone coming in for x amount of days.

The areas in Korea and Italy that got hit hard are the areas with most foreigners including Chinese from China.
New York same with Italy and Europe and Iran/Middle East added in to the mix.
