... and 141 of the 522 patients in the placebo group who underwent randomization...

And HCL had less side effects and in studies from France and here had a 90% plus cure rate and in the case of the NY Dr either one or no deaths.

Regardless of what happened in the placebo group, a 21% rate of serious adverse reactions is terrible. It's not much of a selling point to say, "Our drug only had 21% serious negative side-effects compared to 27% in the placebo group!"
