Nearly 1/3 of children tested for COVID in Florida are positive. Palm Beach County’s health director warns of risk of long-term damage

“They are seeing there is damage to the lungs in these asymptomatic children. ... We don’t know how that is going to manifest a year from now or two years from now,”

Sad about the kids and long term damages but we knew it was coming.

Our school board bought school supplies for all students. Didn’t lower taxes. Ok, so do we get a refund since they’re supposed to do 8 weeks of remote learning? Notice they didn’t wait until after deciding if we were having remote learning or in class or what. Notice they didn’t wait until the back to school sales where supplies are 10-25 cents a piece. But, hey, they were just spending other people’s money.

When ours were in school, we barely spent anything on school supplies. Maybe $25 and that included a Walmart backpack. I still have crayons from when I was in 4th grade back in the 60s and have my old wooden rulers under this laptop to help out the vents. This desk is full to overflowing with the kids’ leftover school supplies. No, I don’t mind using little blunt end elementary school scissors. You don’t need to purchase all new supplies every year.
