Coronavirus breakthrough: British hospital patients to test antibody cocktail
And in my neck of the woods, the County Commissioners are asking Governor Abbott for a mask exemption for the County,
another death was reported from Covid-19 by DSHS (took them over 2 weeks to notify the County). We have 2 new cases, and 2 new hospitalizations.
Also, a University Freshman is threatening to sue the University here because she said they won’t honor her notes from 2 doctors saying she has a medical condition (undisclosed) that exempts her from wearing a mask.
She doesn’t like being in her dorm taking classes via streaming. She is a member of the Equestrian team so, I am unsure what medical condition allows rigorous horse skills, but doesn’t allow mask wearing.
The University announced their protocols for Covid-19 back in June. She claims she was unaware of the mask requirement.
Darn those European sites with their bizarre “privacy” pop-ups!
Anyway, good to hear they’re doing this. No reason not to.

Nursing home - Valley View Residence Nursing Home in Toronto
The 187 residents were given Ivermectin for another purpose (4th floor scabies outbreak) before the covid outbreak.
The 4th floor was given a normal treatment dose, and the other floors a smaller preventative dose. The staff got covid (who did not receive the drug), and the elderly patients were mostly protected. Not one even showed symptoms on the 4th floor.
Ivermectin Moves Towards Mainstream

We had 7 new cases since yesterday here in Podunkville on the Guadalupe. I hope Abbott turns down the request for an exemption from the mask mandate. Looks like the Labor Day exposures are showing up.
Drove by an elementary school here. The kids were on the playground in a big group wollering around (with the PE teacher not maintaining any social distancing or order).
From what I observed, keeping students safe is a big joke.
Oh, also in Podunkville, the school district has a dashboard

For today there are 4 active Covid-19 cases reported in our school district.
Good news! ... that isn’t getting out!
In not so good news...

The interesting thing about Ivermectin is its already being used in many countries like Australia and Peru for covid. The trial site I listed has some comments by doctors describing their protocols using it.
Not good news about the frozen fish. I have been treating frozen food as tainted as I assumed the virus could live indefinitely when frozen.
Four is good, considering.
Ah, so their cleaning is why I haven’t be able to buy any Lysol or rubbing alcohol since Feb.
Our school’s covid page keeps showing zero cases which is hard to believe since there were reported student and employee cases by the health dept.
The county as a whole had suddenly bottomed out a few days ago but it’s ticking back up a bit with the Labor Day cases coming in. Glad the tourist season will be slowing down. When the outsiders stay out, we’re better off.
Hubby had a doctor’s appt. yesterday and he said the place was empty. They’re mainly doing virtual visits. He said they had four waiting room chairs, one in each corner. There was only once receptionist. The nurses were going through rubbing alcohol like crazy. And they restricted passing in the hallway. At least they are taking this seriously and taking precautions.
“n independent safety board will take a first look at Moderna’s data as soon as a total of 53 people in the trial become infected with COVID-19. Moderna is projecting the interim analysis will occur in November, but it could come as early as October.
If most of the people who got sick got the placebo shot, that would indicate the vaccine was protecting those inoculated and could be enough evidence to seek U.S. regulatory approval for Emergency Use Authorization(EUA).
“If the interim readout is deemed by the independent safety committee as positive with 70 or 80 or 90% efficacy, we will indeed consider approval,” Stephane Bancel, Moderna’s chief executive officer, said in a telephone interview. “
Has other interesting info on trails too.
Thats good that the doctors office is taking it seriously. My GP/Internist is the same. The only in person visits they do are blood draws And that is quick in and out. They have people sit in their cars and they call them inside from their car when its their turn.
By the way Pine Sol just got added to the EPA list of items that kill covid.
As careful as we have been disinfecting everything, it has been harder to stay on top of with all the shipments and pickups we are doing for our bathroom install.

A new study showing significant pre-symptomatic spread.
“”... We show that for symptomatic individuals, the timing of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 is more strongly linked to the onset of clinical symptoms of COVID-19 than to the time since infection. We found that it was approximately centered and symmetric around the onset of symptoms, with three quarters of events occurring in the window from 2-3 days before to 2-3 days after... “
Like we didn’t see that coming a mile away. Virtual learning must be done with a blank wall behind the student or the family is ripe to be reported for everything under the sun.
