Sessions job or any person sitting attorney general works for US, and is not the personal attorney for the president. The law is the law and there is none on this board who would sanction the attorney general heading an investigation of a campaign they were so visibly involved. Red diaper al Frankenstein, actually let the cat out of the bag, of what was about to be unleashed, when he questioned sessions in the confirmation hearings..
Muller and his crew already knew before they ever collected one paycheck, there was NO Russian collusion. What they tried to force was obstruction of their justice out of Sessions and/or Trump.
You’re trying to defend the indefensible.
Sessions should have resigned and allowed the President to have a functional AG with true oversight responsibilities — even one in an “acting” capacity.
Once he surprised the President with recusal he knew he had lost the President’s trust, which alone is a reason for an honorable man to resign. Instead, Sessions dug in his heels and used his friends in the Senate as a public shield against termination.
He should hang his head in shame. Sessions paved the way for the Mueller investigation and three years of hell for the administration AND the nation.
And now the man who didn’t prosecute one sanctuary city, who didn’t prosecute Antifa, or join Kris Kobach’s voter fraud investigation is telling us he saved the rule of law and is responsible for the President’s acquittal in the Senate.
Sessions is as delusional as he is dishonorable.
Hopefully Alabama will choose better.
