[Unlike you, I actually read (and understand) the pertinent information, scientific papers, case data, etc. Just like I did when I did this kind of work for a living.]
I make an effort to put everything in clear English. But sometimes, I fail in that regard because a word or term I am using that I think is perfectly clear means something very different to my reader. It isn't always easy to determine what is the problem when that happens. Still, I do my best to communicate in everyday language.
Dealing with numbers has its own challenges. I look at the numbers, and to me, they tell a compelling story and give insight into what is really going on with the pandemic. But so many people do not understand numbers. I do get frustrated when, for example, I show the current case and death numbers along with the death rate calculation, and there are conspiracists who tell me I'm wrong about the death rate--HELLO! It's right there in the case data! Anyone can calculate it!
I have not posted enough about the trends that I am seeing.
