It’s a whitewash. The last thing the FBI should be allowed to do is investigate themselves.

FBI Director Christopher Wray today ordered the Bureaus Inspection Division to conduct an after-action review of the Michael Flynn investigation, the bureau said in a statement.
FBI Director Christopher Wray today ordered the Bureaus Inspection Division to find all the evidence of other set-ups and destroy it, the bureau said in a statement.
There. Fixed it.

After Evidence of Gross Misconduct was ExposedNot after everyone already knew it was going on. Wait until it goes public and then go into CYA mode. I don't know why he doesn't just appoint a bipartisan blue ribbon commission with a preliminary report due in two years. Kick that can hard.
Fire Wray NOW!

” FBI Says They’re Reviewing Michael Flynn Case After Evidence of Gross Misconduct was Exposed” Is that a headline or a punchline?

Lets see if they ever find the original 302s. that will tell the entire story of whether there is any seriousness to the review.

A few loose ends they need to make sure are buried for good, no doubt.

Wray is going to do something useful?
Hard to believe. We all know what he will find NOTHING.

The fey Wray is NOT going to fix it.

Its a whitewash. The last thing the FBI should be allowed to do is investigate themselves. I am forced to agree.
As I suggested on another thread, I would look to the Secret Service or a task force drawn from the NCIS, the Army CID, and the Air Force OSI to carry this out.

in a memo to himself sent just today, Ray says that Trump asked him to do “everything by the book” and see to it that no one gets fired or loses their pensions.

Yes they’re investigating who exposed it in the hope they can prevent that in the future

This: “Flynn was targeted over his phone call with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak...”
\
isn’t even half of the story IMO. That is only the tip of the iceberg. There are probably at least 50 instances of Flynn being illegally surveilled. We will never get to the bottom of it. But there is surely conclusive evidence out there.
Just think if a genuine Special Counsel was appointed and given the amounts of resources and support that Mueller/Weissman had. I wonder if there is anyone out there tough enough and brave enough to take that job.
