Our business, daughter and me, is an S Corp. And we are both collecting UI. The federal CARES Act made it possible. Our business has not had a dime of income since February 13. We run campaigns to raise money for non profits. We had a campaign that started February 13 and we cancelled it on March 13 because all the venues (which we need to run our business) started shutting down. We depend on sports games, concerts, etc. Our campaigns run a minimum of 60 days so even if concerts and stuff starts being booked again it will be awhile before our business collects payment for services. We’re looking at about 9 months or more with $0 income....and you think we shouldn’t be able to collect unemployment?!?!

I don’t think that. I thought the law thought. I know for a fact that years ago you couldn’t collect if you were a member of a corporate board in the last year.
