Actually, the numbers themselves show that the lockdowns have decreased the spread of Covid-19 by 95%. That is a huge difference, and has saved many lives.

It is unfortunate that during a pandemic, human activity cannot go on as usual. Very unfortunate. It has always been the case throughout history that epidemics and pandemics are great disruptors of civilization, and we are no different today. Our advantage over our forebears is that we understand disease transmission and the scientific method much better, so are better equipped to come up with countermeasures. But that’s about it.

A voice of reason. We’ve had 94,000 die due to Covid-19 with massive measures to slow the spread. Hate to think what would have happened if we would have done nothing.
