Ford temporarily paused production at two different assembly plants this week after employees tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
The closures, which occurred at plants in Dearborn, Mich., and Chicago, came as Ford resumed operations at its North American factories for the first time in months. The plant in Chicago briefly suspended operations on Tuesday after two employees tested positive for the virus, a spokesperson told The Hill.
The Dearborn Truck Plant, which produces F-150 and Raptor pickups, stopped production on Wednesday after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19, Detroit News noted.
The Chicago plant was back in operation by Wednesday morning and the Dearborn one was expected to resume production by Wednesday night.

Every time someone tests positive do we shut down again?
If I takes a test and I test negative once I make contact with one person do I have to be tested again?
False negatives? False positives? How accurate are the tests?
If we listen to the 'experts' and 'trust science' can we ever reopen American business?
I thought they drank MGD on the job and not Corona?
They should test for Muslims.
The latest news I've heard is that if you've been infected by COVID you will test positive for the antibodies, and maybe even COVID itself, but you won't get sick and you won't be contagious.
Dang it, that didn’t take long.
Sounds like any big plant that wants to reopen, should have all of it’s employees tested prior to reopening.
Tyson had to shut another major plant in Texas today.
I wonder if Ford could use the quick test the White Houses uses. I think it takes 15mins for results.
Not sure how feasible that would be, they get tested before entering the plant.
Wonder how many people tested positive. Not sure if they would shut down for 2 to 3 people out of a 100.
Under these guidelines, the country will collapse, Trump won’t be re-elected, and people will just whine about the left.

This whole thing is just so stupid. Ignore it!
A week ago the death rate here in Los Angeles County was around 1,600, in a county of 10 mill. That's about 1/1000th of 1%. And 40% of those were in nursing homes.
For that Mayor Dumbass Garcetti is trying to stretch out lockdown through July 4 and still preaches that he's relying on "science and data."
It taints the reputation of the Ford F-150. (shutting down the plant that is...)
Stupid is as stupid does.
Not sure. Take the fender off your F150 and see what cans they left in the wheelwell.

There’s going to be some bumps on the road.
Let’s proceed.
“Temporarily:... good news!
IDK, but good to know that they are being careful.
This is NOT the effing Bubonic plague!!! Can we just use some common sense here. If youre sick, go home. Make an appointment with your doctor, get a prescription for HCQ and pick up some zinc. What happens when someone gets strep throat? Do they shut down a whole plant when someone gets strep or tests positive for TB, which is much more dangerous. We even allow illegal aliens to live and work among us, no problem! Who knows what kind of diseases they carry?

Not good enough. The shutdowns were still ridiculous.
How do we do this in every aspect of our lives?
Do I test every time I go to work?
Do I test before (or after) I go to the grocery store?
The idea testing can give false positives and that anyone can be infected just by walking in a confined space with an infected person means we can only open if we all live in hazmat suits.
This level of scrutiny and self-protection can't be sustained.
You can’t say that you are making way too much sense!!!! Right on!!! “You should never let a crisis go to waste.” —Rahm Emmanuel. 2008
