We need to proactively reach out to these companies that are allowing this behavior and tell them it is NOT acceptable. I just left a message for the CFO of Costco and I highly recommend you all do the same.
The forcing of masks on us like we're sheep is completely unacceptable and if we don't step to the plate and push back on this they won't stop.
You've just reminded me that one of the DUMBEST things I've seen is people driving with their windows up - while wearing a mask - and they're the only one in the car.
The second dumbest thing I've seen was someone standing outside a grocery store smoking a cigarette while wearing a mask. They'd pull the mask down, take a drag off their cigarette, exhale, then put the mask back up. Unbelievable.
They also have the right to gripe at them.

It is virtue signalling. I noticed early on Costco does seem to attract the crazies in this panic. They’ve all convinced themselves they are “high risk.”
I’ve not waited in line once to shop since the Chicom flu started. Walmart and Aldi are pretty much back to normal in my area. After 30+ years as a Costco member I find no longer find the need for my family to support the leftists who run Costco.
They are doing this for liability purposes and protection of their employees. It is the smart thing for COSTCO to do in the short term. Give it a rest. The ban will be lifted in time.
I avoid the place until lifted.

Yes, if it's concealed, nobody knows, and no, Michigan does not give posted signs the weight of law beyond trespass if you do not leave if asked.
For the dozen or so times we went, that's exactly what I did, but I still refuse to support businesses that have signs that say I am not welcome. So when it came time for membership renewal, I said "no thanks."

I am a flubro/Covid skeptic who has no problem wearing a mask in stores. Where I live you must wear one to enter retail establishments. I am not sure if this is by law or the stores mandating it.
So I end up wearing me trusty N95 mask maybe 60 minutes per week. No skin off my nose! Plus the workers in the store are all wearing masks, so I am making them feel better since they are spending 40-50 hours a week in an iffy situation.
