Hmm. My wife takes care of some elderly neighbors. Sorts their pills for the week, talks with the docs, goes to the doctor visits, etc.

The man was in the hospital for a week. She would go in and check on him. They weren't giving him his regular doses!

“Why aren't you giving him his standard doses!?”

“I'm sorry ma’am, the hospital has it's own procedures.”

My wife contacted his main doctor and a couple of specialists - to no avail to changing the hospital’s protocol. And then the same issues for two weeks at an extended care place.

They were messing around with his doses and taking blood tests for weeks afterwards to get him back on track.
