President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama won’t team up to reveal the 44th President’s official White House portrait, people familiar with the discussion told NBC News.
NBC’s sources said that Obama will forgo the ceremony as long as Trump is in office and is willing to potentially wait until 2025 to have his and former First Lady Michelle Obama’s portraits revealed in the East Room. The Obamas began the customary consultation process for the portraits, different from those revealed in 2018 at the National Portrait Gallery, shortly after leaving office in 2017.

Trump and his team have finally gotten most of the Obama stench out of the Whitehouse. The last thing they need is for the Obamas to come back and re-stench it.

Don't think I've ever looked at it very closely since it's so hideous... but aside from other laughable things with it, it just occurred to me that his hands are about twice as big as they are supposed to be, no?

Every president has had an official portrait painted. In fact each president has had two more or less official portraits painted: the official official one at the White House and another at the Smithsonian.
The reason why there isn't going to be an unveiling at the White House is probably because neither Trump nor Obama really wanted one, and each man knows it. I suppose they are both okay with that, though neither is ever going to be happy about anything having to do with the other.
That’s OK. Anyone taking a dump in any Whitehouse toilet can make the same portrait.

Besides, when odingo was in office, there were pictures of him all over the White House. Some lib columnist remarked that it creeped him out at the enormous number of pictures of obama that were on the walls.

Well, I’ve been doing that for a long time. No sense wasting “a’s” an “m’s” that could be put to better use. Maybe I started it, maybe not. I think yes. :-)
