the Federal Drug Administration recently warned that there was a "risk of heart rhythm problems" and shouldn't be taken outside of a clinical or hospital setting I would guess that a whole lot of people on FR have taken hydroxychloroquine outside a clinical or hospital setting. Considering how carefully President Trump's health is monitored, this is a particularly stupid lie. Why are they so set on opposing this drug?

Why are they so set on opposing this drug?. Certain people are invested, literally, in pharmaceutical companies that are developing vaccines and treatment drugs for which they will own the patent on, and will be able to charge huge prices. The generic drug HCQ is 65 years old and dirt cheap. Nobody can make any serious money off its manufacture/sales.
