The problem with a Oregon is mail in ballots. Activist judges, & Democrats win each election and more taxes.

Replace the preposition “for” with “to” and its correct.

if near every voter in Oregone outside of the Eugene/portland enclave would get out and vote and vote pub only this crapola would stop....

Oregon votes by mail, they don't "get out and vote". Until they can reverse that, Dem crooks will run the State.

They don’t want a larger turn out in the Republican party over the Democrats. We haven’t had a Republican elected since legislators set up mail in ballots.

“There are no shortcuts for us to return to life as it was before this pandemic. Moving too quickly could return Oregon to the early days of this crisis, when we braced ourselves for hospitals to be overfilled and ventilators in short supply.

Why are ventilators being in short supply a bad thing unless they plan on killing more people?

I just looked at the Oregon Supreme Court website and the biographies of the justices. The court consists of 7 members, 5 of whom are women (one of the women is Black, another is Japanese-American). All 7 are democrat appointees, 6 of whom were appointed by the current governor, Kate Brown.

Three of them are up for a “non-partisan” retention election this year: Chief Justice Martha Walters; Thomas Balmer; and Christopher Garrett. Walters and Barrett are unopposed. Balmer has one primary challenger. The primary ends Tuesday evening 5/19 (Oregon was the first state to have 100% mail voting).

Hard to see these would-be solomonic characters ruling against Kate Brown.

A lot of us are in the same situation as the cities take over and control the state politics.

The best you can do is ignore the self-righteous, superior to thou,..... well, you fill in the blank with the proper title.

Couldn’t agree more masks are a mass humiliation. Symbols of utter stupidity and cowardice in most cases

The Oregon Dems are proving what my grandfather used to say: “There are many ways to skin a cat.” The problem is, the Dems will rue the day when the voters express their fury with such atrocious behavior. By weaponizing the Oregon State Supreme Court, they show how extreme their willingness to maintain their grip on power.

Your words should also go for the people of Eastern Washington. The cry and complain about the policies in Olympia, and sit on their hands and can’t take the time to mail in a ballot.

This is so true. When Idaho finally implemented its Covid shut down and the 14-day quarantine for out of state residents entering Idaho, there were many folks in Washington that were more ticked off at Idaho than they were at their own government. Many in Eastern Washington have given up trying to implement change in their own state and instead look to Idaho as the place they can go benefit from Conservatism.

OR has only had 3.6k cases and 138 deaths and she is still acting like half the state is demand and the other half is dying because every hospital is full.

***************

Total politics of control and completely unconstitutional!

nd76. It’s Oregon, the mini-Marxist state clone of Uber Marxist California and Washington State. Political insanity is just as prevalent there as in its Marxist neighbors.

Nothing is going to change it until the conservatives and few remaining sane Democrats unite and clean house with flamethrowers.

YUP; you conservative folks in Oregon are stuck in the same position a whole lot of us here in California are stuck in.

A few large cities control what happens in the whole state.

And what lives in large cities, rats, bums, welfare queens and kings, cockroaches, and democrats.

Even the rats and roaches votes are counted.

Exactly. When EVERYONE ran out to grocery stores and literally bought out the store in a day or two no one had a mask on it wasn’t a threat, but then once the CCPVirus started to die down suddenly “OMG you are all possible carriers, wear a mask to save lives.”

Someone planted the seed of masks begin good, then slowly all the Karen’s started screaming about it on Twatter or FB until stores and eventually states made it mandatory. Sure the mask is a homemade piece of fabric that can’t stop a microscopic virus, but hey, it made Karen feel safer.

Travis McGhee aka Matt Bracken posted an essay about this yesterday. He was not the author, but it was a provocative, prescient essay nonetheless.
