He didn’t allow them to search his car. He was in a known drug spot according to them. His car is parked kind of funny to be just chilling. But whatever.

In other words, he understood the 4th Amendment better than the cops.
The probable cause threshold to search a vehicle really isn’t that hard to reach.
They didn’t need his permission if they suspected anything remotely illegal.
They didn’t search so that tells me they knew their suspicions were based on ridiculous notions to begin with.
