An analysis of patients at Veterans Affairs hospitals across the country found that the death rates of people treated with hydroxychloroquine were higher than those who did not receive the treatment.

I noticed NPR has been running with this little uncorrelated factoid too.

Could it be because hydroxychloroquine is used as a last ditch effort to keep the patients alive? Seems to me to be the only reason a malaria drug would be used by an experienced doctor.

They gave hydroxychloroquine to elderly patients on ventilators. In other words, too late.

It has to be given early in order to work the best....not at the end. But of course, the scum bag media doesn’t bother to mention this at all.

The vets in that clinical trial were basically sacrificed in a study designed to fail

All over 65, all male, all in advanced stages of disease, given a large dose of hydroxy ( larger than successful docs use), given no zinc
