That may happen anyhow. If a democrat is elected this November, the dems will be mightily tempted to trump up a criminal case against Trump. They have spent the last four years wallowing in hate. They have accused Trump of innumerable crimes. Their base would demand prosecution. And once that Rubicon is crossed, it will never end. If you want 2020 to be the last presidential election in American history, that's one way to do it.
No, for me the important point is to discredit Obama and his legacy.

While I understand the reasoning of this, I believe as long as it stands, dirty Presidents like 0bama will continue pushing corruption further and further until we are stuck with complete criminal “administrations” with NO chance to ever clean it up.
Sometimes we HAVE to break tradition and do what’s never been done in order to protect the nation as a whole and prevent things like this from ever happening again.
Honestly, more than 3/4 of Washington DC needs to be locked up in prison if you ask me. They will continue the corruption until they KNOW that they can be destroyed for it.
Regardless of precedent, Donald Trump will without a doubt face prosecution once out of office. We can only hope enough precautions will have been taken and groundwork in place to stifle all comers. This POTUS has done wonders!!
