In 1981 in Poland the communist regime used economic psychological pressure, selecting workers permitted to earn wages. Those workers identified as “essential” to the state. In 2020 many State governors selected workers to earn an income by designating them “essential” to the state.

I agree with the sentiment and the actions; but I’m not so sure about the numbers. There are a LOT of THEM. At least 50%.

In the beginning in the USA, it was never a majority supporting freedom.
The constitution exists, in spite of much encroachment. It is the bloodless approach. Can it be done. It MUST BE.

My generation has been voting correctly because our heads were conditioned differently.

Yes, I celebrate April 21st every year.
I Remember the Alamo, but Celebrate San Jacinto Day. The day that the Dictator got caught with his pants down and was defeated.

I feel like we should also celebrate (in addition to San Jacinto) Cinco de Mayo and Juneteenth. All (Texas) landmarks in the history of freedom.
But the larger point being this: if we are going to rise to the occasion here, generationally, we need to start remembering that we are part of a rich past, and we are entrusted with preparing for a future that is yet to be. A rekindling of history and civic virtue and ceremony is essential.
And then we have to fight like hell.
And lots of foreign governments who would be more than willing to help.
The Truth is our best weapon by far.

Yes, in the Revolutionary War I believe the mix was pro-king, pro-independence, and indifferent in roughly equal percentages.
In today’s version of what was once America there seems to be more interest in free stuff than freedom.
Neither the US or the Texas constitution says it is OK to ignore the Constitution, or that voter’s acceptance of such changes without due process makes it legal.
Both documents limit the power of government, they do not grant rights from the state.
