I see this differently. This could be Barr setting the stage for whatever happens.
He plays nonchalantly, to diffuse the “witch hunt” aspect that you know the left will scream.
If O and B committed crimes, Durham and Barr will treat them accordingly.
May be wishful thinking, but I’d do the same thing, if I were Barr.

Barr’s statement aligns with your perspective. Key words are “...based on what I know, I don’t expect ....”. Had he said that “the investigation is ongoing, I cannot comment” ... the left’s hysteria would have been set off.
That being said, at this stage of the game, 3+ years of abuse of government institutions to go after POTUS, I expect nothing of substance will be done. The government in all 3 branches are protecting itself, not the freedoms and rights of Americans. I’d never thought I would ever have to write such a thing.
