On Saturday, Colorado’s Health Department revised their official coronavirus death count downward to 878 from 1,150 as of Friday—a stunning reduction of 23.7 percent. The reason for this correction was that anyone who died from other causes while testing positive for the coronavirus was counted as a coronavirus-related death.
In the wake of this revision, Jared Polis, the Democrat governor of Colorado, started pushing back against the official coronavirus death counts, saying even those of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are inflated from including people who tested positive for the coronavirus but died of other causes.
“The CDC criteria include anybody who has died with COVID-19, but what the people of Colorado and the people of the country want to know is how many people died of COVID-19,” Polis told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.” Polis does acknowledge that there are probably legitimate coronavirus deaths that have been missed as well.
Polis’s concerns about inflated death counts nationwide are not unfounded. Last month, New York City officials controversially made the decision to count the deaths of people who were presumed to have the coronavirus for having similar symptoms. Hospitals are also given more money from the federal government to treat patients if they’re presumed to have the coronavirus.
Another issue with coronavirus deaths is inconsistencies with reporting. “Inconsistencies in death counts have been happening on both the state and national level. As of Friday, Johns Hopkins University data counted 85,974 national COVID-19 deaths, while the CDC was reporting 83,947 that same day. There has been concern that even the CDC’s lower number may be artificially high,” 890KDXU reported.
Dr. Fauci, however, has argued that the coronavirus death toll is “almost certainly higher” than what’s reported.

The CDC’s daily Covid-19 mortality numbers are a LAGGING indicator by at least 2 weeks when compared to the figures published by WorldOMeter and Johns Hopkins University. It says so in the CDC website.

We are at 91,000 deaths. Even if 24% are deemed dead of co-moralities with COVID, then 91000 * 76% = 69,160 deaths.
Still a lot.
There is still a question of whether counts are understated, as one chart I saw showed a lot more deaths than normal and more than was accounted for by official COVID counts.
In the meantime, good news out of Georgia and Tennessee. New Cases continue to drop despite reopening.
The health director of San Diego county said of the 194 COVID 19 deaths only 6 can be attributed directly to COVID 19. If CO has overshot this by 24% you can bet the other dem states have done the same if not worse.
At this point I don’t believe a damn thing. This entire thing is a sham. Shame on people who are lapping up what they are being told at face value.

That’s not what he said. I believe he said only 6 didn’t have any co-morbidity.
Their deaths could still be contributed directly to COVID if they weren’t expected to die from their co-morbidity.
Like Diabetes. People with diabetes that are treated and keep their diabetes in control live longer than people who don’t have diabetes. So if their diabetes was under control and COVID takes them out. They might have died with a co-morbidity, but they died of COVID.
Maybe local CO polls are saying Dems are on the wrong side of the fence on this.
Too bad we can’t get the GOP-e on the correct side of the fence.

My brother-in-law had inoperable brain cancer and was on hospice care, there were no tests done on his dead body to confirm he had Covid-19 but he had a cough, so he was counted by CDC protocol.
We had a fellow call our local talk show this morning. His mother died last week and had been in a nursing home suffering from Alzheimer’s. She contracted the virus but after 2 subsequent tests she was negative. The family got her death certificate yesterday and the cause of death read Covid-19.
This might be the big game changer in the 2020 general election. When the public learns that the wool was pulled over their eyes by the democrats.

And if the USA numbers are revised downward, the media will not be able to blame Trump since he made the Governors responsible, as they should be, for managing the coronavirus.

Fact is, the Colorado butt-pirate governor ORDERED the lying about the numbers.
