If no attempt to prosecute them occurrs, it will only embolden them to ever greater abuses of power. If each and all of the criminals involved in this fiasco are forced to expend their wealth to fight prosecution, even if they are exonerated, it will be a useful exercise in making examples of them. All it’s going to take is several of these rats to be looking at 30 years, and they’ll implicate their mothers.
