I always come to Free Republic when I’m needing a good dose of negativity and despair.

I guess I should resign myself to the fact that Bill Barr didn’t travel to Italy, twice, to secure testimony from Joseph Mifsud but went because he needed a couple good vacations on the Mediterranean...and it was just a coincidence that Durham’s investigation became a “criminal” matter shortly after listening to Mifsud’s taped deposition. And I guess John Durham taking depositions from people at the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment who were paying Steven Halper was just a good way to practice his interrogation skills.

And I suppose Barr’s discussions with both UK and Australian intelligence agencies was simply an attempt to learn how to better manage the Department of Justice. And I should conclude that Durham seeking and receiving John Brennan’s emails, call logs and other documents from the C.I.A. is just an indication that he wanted to know if Brennen knew the best restaurants to go to around DC.

And I also suppose that Attorney General Barr brought in five different US Attorney’s to go through all the documents relating to the cases of Flynn, Papadopoulos, Stone, Page and the individual whose name is redacted on the released list of related FISA warrants cuz he wanted to clean up all the spelling errors and poor grammar.

And maybe insider reports of interim Director of National Intelligence Rich Grennel receiving statements from analysts within the agency, like Fred Flietz, indicating Brennan
concealed high-confidence intelligence product revealing Russia’s preference for Hillary Clinton are just agitprop as CNN would call it. And it could be that Grennel’s personal transfer of documents to the Justice Department regarding unmasking requests and other information relative to Spygate we’re not relevant and he simply went to get some exercise.

And I guess I should consider the possibility that twice in the last month John Durham has added more investigators and prosecutors to his team not because he’s found anything but because he’s tired of doing all the paperwork.

Geez, I was so hopeful someone was going to do something about the crimes of obstruction, illegal unmaskings of American citizens, evidence tampering, malicious prosecutions under color of law as well as the sedition committed by Obama’s intelligence agencies. I should have known better. I’m glad I read this thread so I could be disabused of all the notions that real progress was being made and go back to being angry and disgusted.

Most DC critters DO go to Italy for the Mediterranean vacations. None of know what he really did there.

I’m sure Barr is a nice guy- but so far he looks like Lindsay Graham. Both fulfill their duty to public office by keeping the lid on the seething masses in flyover country. From DC,s perspective that’s their primary job. Toss the peons and peasants enough verbal bones with enough meat on them that it will take a couple of terms to chew.

Thank you PresidentFelon. I find it strange Kurt would write such a screed.
