Actually what the article says is that it prevents as many particles from entering the atmosphere from asymptomatic people.
It apparently assumes symptomatic people aren’t out and about.
If all the infectious people wear masks, there will be fewer particles in the environment to get on your hands in the first place.
Wrong. 100% wrong. If you have the virus it’s coming out of your sweat glands on every square inch of your skin. And it is surfaces that lead to the vast majority of transference not aerosols. Period.

See that is the problem. That statement is someone’s opinion. That person thinks their opinion substitutes for scientific proof and you believe them because they have a title.
