Viral video of the shooting of unarmed Georgia jogger Ahmaud Arbery was first leaked to the press at the request of the dad now accused of his murder because he thought it would make him and his son look better.
The ironic shocker that it was ex-cop Gregory McMichael who leaked the very video that would expose the Arbery shooting to the world, leading to father-son murder charges was reported Friday by WSB-TV in Atlanta.
The video shows McMichael standing in the back of a pickup truck as his son, Greg, confronts and opens fire on the jogger with a shotgun.

He doesnt confront and open fire...
Hoisted with his own petard
Oops...

More outstanding journalism by the New York Post.
confronts indeed
The video shows the jogger veering to the side of the truck, and trying to disarm the guy holding the gun
Darwin Award
Another example of this man being very stupid.
I'm thinking our boys are in big trouble.
I haven’t seen the video but the McMichael tribe doesn’t seem to possess an overabundance of common sense.
1-They should have called the cops and let it be.
2-They never should have shown their weapons without cause.
3-They should have hired a lawyer and shut up. Lawyers were called a mouth piece for a reason.
I have not followed the story, but the video shows the black guy charging at the guy with the shotgun and then trying to take the shotgun. That is suicide. The man with the gun had no choice at that point.
Probably a lot of bad and unfortunate decisions led to that point.

1. Cops were informed on a 911 call and enroute before the shooting
2. They were making a citizens arrest (legal) and in GA open carry is legal. The shotgun was pointed only after the perp made a move towards them. They told him they wanted to talk to him. Again not illegal. The perp punched McMicheals the younger in the face and is seen grabbing the shotgun. If he pulled it 1/4 of an inch and a finger is on the trigger, it goes boom. Either way Aubrey ran towards the armed men (not away from them. Who in the phuck does that?) and started fighting them. Self defense.
3. Being railroaded by civil rights organizations wouldnt matter what lawyer they have. They are already convicted to keep the feral animals under control, but sweet little Aubrey wasnt in his own neighborhood. Is on several other tapes tresspassing in constrution houses, and if he was busted for this it would have been his 3rd strike and he was going away perminately
The first prosecutor said it was an open and shut case.
I believe it is now up to three prosecutors who have refused the prosecute.
Some say it is four.
It is very hard to believe a jury could come to an agreement of "beyond a reasonable doubt".
Uh, he confronted for sure. That can’t even be argued. HE is seen on the video standing in the left lane of the road with a shotgun.
Abrery goes right, around the far side of the pickup from the shooter.
When the video catches them again, the shooter is in front of his pickup truck.
That means he moved TOWARD the victim while he was going around he far side of the vehicle.
You can’t talk all day about “opening fire”. That would probably never be settled. But he confronted him. The video shows that.
Are you sure that’s a fact? The fact I’m aware of is that somebody filmed it. Was he their buddy? Did they “have him following along?” Your statement of fact implies that they coordinated this. Where is proof of coordination?
Not saying you’re wrong, we just need to be very careful with what we call fact here. A snippet of video only tells a part of the story, and can be easily misinterpreted without context.
In the police report, The older McMichael told the office that “Roddie” (the guy making the video) had tried to cut him off or block him but couldn’t.
By McMichaels statement, he implicates the video maker as attempting to help stop Arbery.
If McMichaels is telling the truth, then the video maker followed Arbery after failing to stop Arbery.
I would love to see the entire video from that phone.

The video show Arbery running around a truck and struggling to get control of the shotgun.
That isn’t “opens fire”
I would too. There’s a lot more to this story than they’re telling us right now.
Fair enough, I don't have proof.
The guy's a neighbor who the DA said joined the McMichaels in hot pursuit.
I guess it's possible he just happened to be following Arbery down the street and filming him as he got to the parked McMichael's truck, but that's not how I'd bet.
We'll find out soon enough.
How do you “not show” a shotgun?
I hope so. And they may have coordinated confronting him and filming him, but we don’t know what happened on the other side of that truck.
