Let’s see what their commercial weapons are:
1) Dump all of our foreign debt, a significant amount which they hold.
2) Withhold essential products that they make and we don’t from the USA ( drugs, medicine, equipment, etc. ) which they produce.
3) Stop buying our products/food/farm produce and shift their own supply source and chains to other countries.
These are the three at that I can think of for now. Add to the above list if you can think of others.

Well for one they (PRC) would have no compulsion about pulling investment from the states or districts of the targeted Republicans. Throw in hacking the target's communications and campaigns. Also for effect, accidents happen. Dictatorship's do not play by Marques of Queensbury rules.
Crackdown on Taiwan, if not invade with more than just police. They’ve already started, and are making even more overt warnings about Taiwan joining the WHO.
China is dangerous mostly for 2 primal reasons. First, they are imperialistic, and openly want to dominate the world, which starts with Taiwan. Second, they don’t value human life, which makes war, both overtly and covertly likely, for anyone who stands in their way.
