This is the type of thing a LOT of stock traders just hate to no end. Remember that time in 2011 when the stock market in the space of a week when up and down 500 points per day (back when DJIA was at just over 10,000)? I said back then it felt like riding the big roller coasters at Cedar Point amusement park.

Day traders love consistent range bound trading markets.

Sell at the high, buy back at the low until it breaks out of the range/trendline.

Some actual stocks trade like that all the time. If you trade options on those stock you can lock in a consistent profit.
