“This time it’s different they say — this is a new, updated model with “learning” algorithms that correct past errors and takes into account factors that were not in the older version.”

Did they introduce the prior models as “These are crap, but they’ve all we’ve got”?

Cause that might have helped.

NY and California have most of the cases.
so yes Democrat counties are going to be most of the top death counties in the country. But that says more about their population density, location and overseas travel than anything else.

Refute them? Are you kidding? I’m so sick of hearing about this chicom cootie. It’s so obvious the leftist, political posers and America haters are using it in an attempt to kill this country, our economy and Trump in November. But they’ll fail once again.

But I will say you’ve done a good job pushing their panic laced narratives.

"Pretty worthless chart...not population adjusted."

None of them have a low enough population that the number of cases are going to be capped by population.

They all start from 100 cases.

I'll grant you that population density plays a factor, but Hong Kong at 17,400 people /sq mile is one of the most dense places in the world. And they are at the bottom of the chart.

Then, may I suggest that when you see titles like these, don’t click on the link and just move on to other topics that interest you. This topic is only for those interested.

Anyone who posts "models" at this point, instead of actual data, has an agenda.

Utterly worthless crap.

You know, I bet we could get it down near zero if we would just gas all our old folks.

(That’s sarcasm, in case it’s not clear)

Seriously, the only factor that probably matters in the “model” is what you’re expecting is happening to the vulnerable demographic. Do nursing homes change operations, or close? Do we put COVID victims in them like Cuomo, the Killer? Do they have HCQ available?

In New York, about 25% of deaths were in nursing homes. To me, this means that about 75% were the same kind of people living on their own. They probably got it on the subway, trying to get food.

Anyone who believes any numbers at this point is delusional. IHME is lying, the states and their governors are lying and the hospitals are lying. We (Trump excluded), are as bad as China only in reverse. They lie to keep the numbers low, we lie to keep them high. Right now, it’s all about $$ for the states and peddling a vaccine for IHME.

I posted topics related to the killing of the black man by two white men this morning, and FReepers bitch and moan that this topic has been discussed to death.

I then post about Mike Flynn and the Obama involvement in his case and people start complaining about too much discussion on this.

I then post about Sweden, Herd Immunity, Abbott Labs and testing, Hydroxycholorquine, etc. and I read about you complaining about Covid-19 related topics.

Here’s what I suggest then, just choose the topics that interest you. It’s like switching TV channels. Ignore the shows you don’t like to watch.

Where do you get that from? Despite having 10% of the country’s population, California in raw unadjusted numbers is fifth in the number of cases after NY, NJ, IL, and MA. Accuracy is important: Eight weeks ago tomorrow our idiot governor predicted 25 million cases in eight weeks. Actual cases: 69,000

147,000 by then seems possible to me. 85,000 deaths now. Even if the daily deaths dropped to 1,000 per day that’s somewhere around another 75,000 by then. Yesterday had 1,772 new deaths.

Hopefully, as the health profession gets a better handle on treatment, those numbers will plummet.
