I can only speak for my family members- they think Bible stories are fairy tales
Like thosr who smugly tell us G-D is dead and Jesus is an imaginary friend who's father is an invisible non existent "sky daddy". EXCEPT when they're needed to fit their agendas then G-D is real and Jesus is a cool dude. They'll say Jesus was a socialist, Jesus was an undocumented immigrant. That supreme intellectual Madonna called Jesus an exhibitionist ( well he was naked on the Cross, like DUH!) Jesus was a vegan, Jesus was all genders, even those we aren't "aware" of It would come as no surprise if someone said he performed abortions. He's whatever they want him to be at the moment.
