Polls are meaningless at this point—6 months before the election. So much can happen between now and the election.
I suspect most of these polls are push polls, as they can always get more accurate later.
I think the Trump base is going to vote in spades. democrat enthusiasm under Biden will be nil. Trump votes mobbing the polls will not vote for a democrat period.
Totally different from 2018 with Donald on the ballot this time.
“I think the Trump base is going to vote in spades.”
Agreed. And the only thing that saved McCain in 2008 from getting far less votes than Romney in 2012 was Sarah Palin.
The only time polls can be trusted is in the month before the election, when they can be tested against what happened. The rest of the time they are a propaganda tool.
At least, that’s how I see them.
I wish I could remember the poll and screen shot it, but one poll that had been shoing Trump slowly gaining ground, but still behind, actually showed him ahead the day before the election. But they quickly revised it down to show him down by a point or two. If only they had not decided to fudge the numbers, they would be famous now.
Poll errors +/- 10%. If you think ANY of these push polls are accurate, then I’ve got a bridge in NY that I’ll sell you.
Correct! Six months is a lifetime in politics.
I think the 2018 election proved that most polls are worthless.
