Skin color is the motivator in Judge Sullivan’s machinations, too, in my view. Sullivan is frantic to fine some dodge by which to cover the @$$€$ (to quote Michael Steele) of Obama, Holder, et al.

The only reason he wants politically sympathetic lawyers to submit “friend of the court” briefs is because he has no idea how to write his own brief.
