It’s Cali... they count “ballots” for weeks until they get the count they want.

This, from the CA SOS website:

Unprocessed Ballots Status

It typically takes weeks for counties to process and count all of the ballots. Elections officials have approximately one month to complete their extensive tallying, auditing, and certification work (known as the official canvass).

This is smaller area (not a whole state) and a special election as well. I don’t expect much of a delay to bring all of the canvassing to a conclusion.

Add a stay at home order and the count gets lower, way lower than a November election.

However, in November’s general election, this can flip to the Dems. I’d say they have good chance of doing that.

What this special election gives is a PR victory to Trump and an embarrassing butt-hurt to the CA DNC.
