Never attempt to take a man’s firearm away from him... It becomes self-defence and all other arguments become moot.
Never confront another man with a firearm unless you are prepared to use it. Goes both ways.
That doesn’t apply here since the two men were the aggressors by their own admission. The jogger had a right to defend himself. At that point, that was the only way he could have come out of it with his life.

Not according to my CCW class. If the gun-wielder starts the confrontation, he can’t claim self-defense.
Don’t never ever pull a gun on nobody except to defend your own life or the life of a family member.
