Hey, doesn’t everyone carry a hammer when out for a jog?
:)
And on a “jog” 3 miles from your home. Some jog. We’ll never know who dropped him off. Video of him walking, not jogging into the house where he got the hammer.
There is a lot... a lot of background on this rather stupid individual, such as the felony of having a firearm at a school basketball game (two schools neither of which he formerly attended btw—so the implication of ganger interaction comes to mind from either or both of the schools— rivals. He was caught—whole history there, and other). This only provides background— the parents are no bargain for a 25 year old staying with them, and going out on robbery jogs.
Regardless, stealing a hammer (and Diogenes is right—he knew he better not come at them with a weapon, so dropped the hammer)—is not worth this kind of attention. There a known use of construction housing for “drops” (money and dope)— so one wonders about that potential.
The “citizens arrest” encounter is legal in GA. Why the son got out of the truck with a freaking shotgun remains to be understood— they assumed he had a firearm? And part 2 to this— how utterly foolish was the 25 year old to come at a loaded shotgun and try to wrestle it away (not unlike the Ferguson idiot who wrestled away a police officers weapon, such that the officer shot him...dead. Which is—in both of these instances....not murder— but self defense.
Terrible situation that did not need to be handled this way. And the new home construction owner has gotten into the act as well with their own security video.
