Fauci delivered the somber warning Tuesday to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions during a hearing about the road to reopening businesses across the nation. U.S. officials have pointed to the development of a vaccine as a key turning point in the Covid-19 pandemic, even though it will take a at least 12 to 18 months.
As experimental vaccines are created, they will also need to be mass produced to be administered to the more than 7.6 billion people around the world. In the meantime, there are not yet proven treatments for virus.
Fauci’s comments highlight another complexity in the path to a vaccine.
“You can have everything you think that’s in place and you don’t induce the kind of immune response that turns out to be protective and durably protective,” Fauci said of a vaccine. “So one of the big unknowns is, will it be effective?"

While I support Trump and have steadily donated to him I’ve never been into blindly following or worshipping anyone. Its not a healthy nor intellectually honest thing to do IMO.

President Trump’s #1 problem has always been his misplaced loyalty to people who constantly undermine him and stab him in the back, and his tendency to keep them on long past the time he should have let them go.

Last I checked, CNN was completely ignoring it. Literally, not a story anywhere. Guess what they were covering this morning? Fauci's testimony, the "jogger" in Georgia.... and Trump's still-not-released tax returns. Can you believe that? Anyone who gets their news solely from CNN and the MSM probably hasn't heard the name Flynn in three months.
Hell, China will be covering the cost of the bail out (Chinese Debt).

IMO POTUS really needs to kick the stink of these medical terrorists off of him, dump the testing/tracing/vaccine rhetoric immediately and replace it with efforts to reopen the entire country at 100% now. TODAY
I was late to the Trump train in 2016, but since then, every time anyone — ‘Rat, Media, Never Trumper — anyone thinks Trump is down for the count, he gets up and delivers a TKO.
Maybe Fauci is the guy finally take Trump out, but my money is on the orange guy.
I may not be happy with everything he says, but he's been, for the most part, staying withing medical science bounds and acknowledges that is his only area of expertise...the President takes the input and makes his decisions based on that - and if he was/is at odds with the data received, he will take that into account.Have you been watching the testimony today?

Watching this all play out, one thing that strikes me is that Trump’s instincts were honed in the business world, not politics or law or the academe. The only thing that matters in business is “does it work?”.
He’s like every other billionaire I’ve worked for in this regard: he surrounds himself with the smartest experts in a range of fields he can find, and then seeks their opinions, giving weight and consideration to opinions that run counter to his instincts. It’s a fast way to sort the wheat from the chaff.
I don’t think politicians work that way, and Fauci may have been given too much rope, but Trump’s looking for results, and has shown himself to be quick on his feet.
Bill Gates has long indicated he’d he’d feel safer if a billion or two people suddenly disappeared.

For what? ...a coughing virus affecting primarily 80 year olds (that will never be eradicated), has a .1% death rate? You think you will be spared? Fauci’s prophesies have already proven untrue.
