We don’t have a reliable vaccine for the regular flu; it mutates rapidly. Every year’s flu shot is a best guess at what that year’s flu will be. Sometimes they guess wrong. I’ve had flu shots that didn’t work that season. The lockdown should be ended for the healthy people and provisions taken for the vulnerable. A new vaccine that enters normal safety testing (i.e., double blind testing) could take more than a year even with expedited protocols.
I’m probably very naive. But exactly what would the nationwide push for “testing testing testing” accomplish? How exactly will “testing testing testing” prevent a single occurrence of the virus? It seems that the purpose “testing testing testing” could ever serve is to record how many people have, have had, or carry the antibodies for the virus. Other than that, testing doesn’t actually DO anything. (I hope this all makes some kind of sense)
