British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned that a mass vaccine for the novel coronavirus may be over a year away and, in the worst-case scenario, may in fact never be found.
In his foreword to the government’s new 50-page guidance on a step by step easing of the lockdown measures in place to control the spread of the deadly virus, the UK prime minister lays out plans for businesses to gradually start reopening with “COVID-19 Secure” measures of social distancing and for the public to use “good solid British common sense” as the economy is unlocked.
“A mass vaccine or treatment may be more than a year away,” said Johnson, highlighting the work being done in the UK by scientists at Oxford University and Imperial College London towards this mission.
“Indeed, in a worst-case scenario, we may never find a vaccine. So our plan must countenance a situation where we are in this, together, for the long haul, even while doing all we can to avoid that outcome,” he said.

Flu shot for next year ?
The unsettling fact is that Boris may be right.
It’s an RNA virus. No effective vaccine has ever been found against one, at best only partial responders chasing the last mutations
Oh get a grip, BoJo. There has never been a vaccine for any type of coronavirus. There’s no AIDS vaccine, despite Dr. Fake-shi’s 30+ years of “best efforts”.
The annual flu shot is only about 30%-40% effective, IF it works at all. Mass vaccinations with an unproven product would be folly. In addition, the virus is ALREADY mutating, meaning that whenever a vaccine is rolled out, the disease it’s meant to eradicate will have become something else.

SSRNA viruses just randomly mutate, and some of the mutations work around whatever vaccine is attempted, subsequently self selecting by surviving, and propagates merrily away.

Ahhh, but how will your death be coded? Starvation? Or Covid-19?
A solution may never be found because the ones who could have found it was ABORTED-MURDERED by it’s mother. I hope mothers who aborted their children, if they die of cancer, think that maybe the child they MURDERED could have been the one to find a cure for the kind of cancer they have. May they be torn apart for eternity just as they did to they children.
The vaccine is created in your body by your immune system.
Eventually enough kids get it so that they grow up and the herd has its immunity.
In addition to that, we have to deny the virus its long term reservoir in horseshoe bats in China. That’s where it lives over the summer without killing its host. Like any other parasite, if you interrupt its life cycle, it dies.
Contain the reservoir population, prevent it from coming in contact with the human population, and the virus stays in the caves.
That along with mitigative therapies will be enough to suppress the death rate to some extremely small number. Remember, the “Spanish” Flu was just H1N1 in an earlier expression. It’s not a big threat now.
The world ain’t over, and people with poli sci degrees aren’t going to fix this.

And although prolonged use of HCQ is implicated in (some) potentially serious heart arrhythmias, that possibility is so remote that even people who take it for decades (RA and Lupus patients) are not required to get heart screenings. I never did.
And even more important to understand: treatment of COVID-19 in its earliest stages, or even prophylactically, e.g. for medical workers--- involves smaller dosage, for far less duration, than the treatment of RA. Typically 200 mg HCQ for six days, plus zinc and, if indicated, A-pack.
Bottom line: IT'S HERE. It's safe. It's effective. It's cheap (mine is 38 cents per pill). Why aren't they using it? Why isn't EVERYBODY using it?
