As we discover the depths to which the Obama operatives and holdovers went to skewer the Trump campaign/administration from 2016-20, I find myself wondering just what the Nixon operatives were up to, back in the bad old Watergate 1970s.
Back in the day the eeevil Republican Richard Nixon thought he needed to spy on the opposition in the run-up to the 1972 election. So he set up a nongovernmental Special Investigations Unit to go a-burgling.
Just the day before yesterday the noble Democrat Barack Obama -- or his henchmen -- wanted to spy on the opposition presidential campaign. So they went to their pals at the FBI and Main Justice and the intelligence community and got them to go a-spying.
Just yesterday the patriotic Obama holdovers in the Trump administration spent three years trying to trip up President Trump based on fake accusations that we now know -- because said holdovers didn’t want to risk lying under oath -- that they knew were fake.
So why did President Nixon start the “plumbers unit” that eventually burgled the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate back in 1972?
According to George Will writing in 2014 it all started in 1968 when Candidate Nixon used Chinese-American Anna Chennault in a backdoor negotiation with the South Vietnamese ambassador. Naughty boy, because Nixon was a private citizen at the time. But of course, the FBI found out about it because they had a wiretap on the South Vietnamese embassy.

One thing for sure. Nixon did not have the Lame Street Media covering for him.
Nixon HAD an enemies list.
Obama USED an enemies list, weaponizing law enforcement, taxation and using up intelligence assets to do so.
I’d love to see the FBI paperwork on the Nixon investigation.
Nixon could have publicly performed healing miracles in the name of Jesus Christ and the partisan media would have accused him of some form of wrongdoing for it.

May 2, 1972: J. Edgar Hoover dies. He had founded the FBI and been director since it's inception in 1935.
Deputy FBI Director Mark Felt wanted to replace him. Nixon declined. Reportedly, he wanted the FBI to have new leadership and be reigned in.
June 17, 1972: Watergate break in occurs. Listed as third rate burglary, using Cuban nationals. One of the burglars was James McCord, a former CIA and FBI agent. Nixon wasn't aware of the break in.
Over the next couple of years, Felt fed classified FBI information to the Washington Post, using Woodward and Bernstein.
Nixon was caught in the cover up, he had no knowledge of the break in. The break in was led by a man with ties to the FBI and the CIA. The criminals JUST HAPPENED TO HAVE the phone number to the White House committee to re-elect the president.
When Gerald Ford became President, Nelson Rockefeller was named Vice President.
There used to be East Coast Republicans and West Coast Republicans. The West Coast Republicans were Reagan, Goldwater, and to some extent, Nixon. East Coast Republicans were the Bushes and Rockefellers, who were also what we refer to as deep state. GHW Bush was head of the CIA.
August 8, 1974: Nixon resigns. Ford becomes President. Six weeks later, Nelson Rockefeller is named vice-president.
September 5, 1975: Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme tried to assassinate Gerald Ford (Rockefeller would have become President.) Her .45 semi-auto jammed.
September 22, 1975: Sarah Jane Moore tried to assassinate Gerald Ford with a .38 revolver.
In 1980, Bush was forced on Reagan as his VP.
March 30, 1981: John Hinckley shoots Reagan in assassination attempt. Bush would have become president.
No comparison.
Obama used all the resources of the US government against his political enemies, the IRS, CIA, FBI, NSA.
Because of the perfidy of the GOP in cooperating to swear in an ineligible usurper, there is little chance they will pay any price.

Most of the media hates America, too.
My dad was all NAVY. During the Vietnam war, my dad was a friend of the local port Captain in Australia. When an American, British, or Australian ship docked, the port Captain would inform the Captain of the ship that he could select a member of his crew on shore leave to stay with us. Sometimes we had several sailors with us, my dad treated them like family. I miss my dad. He was hurt in the ww2 when his ship was sunk by a sub. He also served in the Korean war.
I miss my dad, yet he installed in me a great respect for our military. Often when I see a military man eating at a restaurant, I will pay for his or her food. On one such occasion I met a sailor that served under Nixon.
He told me that the men under Nixon would do anything for their commander. Nixon was a gambler, and he would often win money from his sailors. He always sent his winnings to the man's wife or mother, or he just gave the money back. On one occasion Nixon received a call from a crewman's wife that her washing machine was broken, and she couldn't wash her child's diapers. Nixon went to a store payed for a new washing machine, and payed for it to be installed. When the sailor got home his wife thanked him for the new washing machine. The sailor was confused, he didn't pay for a new washing machine. He found out that his commander Nixon payed for the Machine, and payed him back. Nixon sent the money to the young sailor's wife.
When a man will tell you that Nixon's men would fight to hell and back for him, you know that Nixon was a real leader.
Obama is not good enough to be a pimple on Nixon's a$$.
