John Adams still gets criticized for leaving Washington before Thomas Jefferson was sworn in. But for present-day Democrats, politics is war and the other party is worse than a foreign enemy.

Nothing new- the Clinton administration covered up Khobar Towers and the USS Cole investigation findings for the same reason.
