Maria Bartiromo: Communist China's COVID-19 response 'brought us to a critical moment'
Fox News ^ | May 10, 2020 | Maria Bartiromo & Matt London

Posted on 05/11/2020 6:27:20 AM PDT by tired&retired

Fox News and Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo examined the origins of the world's deadliest pandemic in more than a century, the response of the Chinese communist dictatorship to the crisis, and the implications of all of this for the future in the new special, "Fox Nation Presents America vs. China."

"Questions about coronavirus have been circulating since the world first learned of the pandemic and answers have not been easy to come by," narrated Bartiromo. "China's lack of transparency and outright lies have not only resulted in over 100,000 deaths but also triggered speculation about the communist country's intentions."

it’s the shutdowns that are killing us:

11 May: Spiked Online UK: ‘There is nothing unprecedented about the virus itself’
Lionel Shriver on the hysteria driving the worldwide Covid shutdown.
The ‘new normal’ of lockdowns, social distancing and economic catastrophe has been greeted with remarkably little resistance. The novelist Lionel Shriver is a rare dissenting voice. In the language of coronavirus, she proclaims to have ‘immunity’ from the ‘herd’. She joined spiked editor Brendan O’Neill for the latest episode of The Brendan O’Neill Show. What follows is an edited extract. Listen to the full conversation here...

And what are we doing about it? Temporarily defunding the WHO? Just how does that hurt China exactly?

Other than Trump “unfriending” Xi what are the consequences to China?

From a Chinese perspective they probably see us as lacking resolve. At least so far.

Here is the show but I don't know how long it will stay up. When I see shows like this I grab them right away with a Youtube downloader before they get deleted for copyright infringement. If you go to this link and find that it is less than 10 seconds long that is what happened, so get it while you can.

More to the point, ANY resolve whatsoever. A graduated response involving Three Gorges Dam might cause Chicom Party Secretary Zing-Zing Ping-Ping, [aka Winnie the Pooh] to refrain from playing with ANY bio research. Think what the fat POS has done to us and many other countries. And our very own globalist swine set the wheels in motion, long ago, by enabling a third world sh*thole country to steal our wealth and technology and thereby to become a truly existential threat.

Agree with your comment. If anything, China has benefitted immensely from this disaster. I realize we are still far too dependent on them (thanks to the Globalists in this country) but my concern is that our lack of response is being interpreted as weakness, and weakness always invites aggression.

Months have gone by and we’ve done absolutely nothing to China other than make a few military forays into the South China Sea. But economically not a single thing.

We have lots of options. If we don’t soon push back the Chinese problem will only become more existential for us. The world is watching and we’re not demonstrating resolve. That’s a bad message to send.
